CONSTRUICTIVE TOOLS 

what is constructive tools?

constructive tools in ICT are digital tools that helps teachers and students  to create ,design , and build their own knowledge or content .Instead of just  receiving information, learners  actively make something  meaningful using the tools.

Example of constructive tools.

• Google docs -for  writing essays, stories, or reports.
• power point / Canvas - for  creating  presentations or posters.
• Video editors- for  making videos for projects.
• Google  classroom- it allows teachers and students to create ,share, and organize learning materials.

• Interactive- Learners can actively engage, not just read or watch.
• Creative: Supports drawing, designing, writing and making projects.
• Flexible: Can use text , images, videos, sound ,or graphics.
• User friendly- Easy for students to learn and use independently. 

Advantages of constructive tools.

1) Promotes Creativity - Students can express ideas in different ways.

2) Encourages  collaboration- Supports group projects and sharing ideas.

3) Improves Understanding - Creating Content helps learners remember better .

4)Develop ICT Skills -Students learn digital skills while learning subjects.

5) personalized  learning- Learners can create at their own pace and style.

My Own Understanding.

From my understanding, constructive tools in ICT are digital tools that help students learn by doing and creating. Instead of just reading  or listening to information, students build their own knowledge  by making something  meaningful -like a story ,poster, a video ,or presentation . 

These tools make learning ore active and interesting. When Students use constructive tools , they  are not just memorizing  lessons but actually understanding  and applying  what they learn. It gives them a chance to think critically, be creative, and express their ideas in different ways.

   

For example, when using Google Classroom, Students can work on assignments, write reflections ,and create digital projects using Google Docs or slides. Teachers can give feedback, and students can edit and improve their work. This process helps students learn from their mistakes and build deeper understanding of the topic.

  

I believe  constructive tools are very useful because they make learning more student-centered. Each learner can create in their own style and pace. It also encourages teamwork and communication , as students can share and comment on each others work online.

 

In my view, constructive tools help teachers become guides or facilitators rather than just information givers. Teachers provide the resources and support, while students take responsibility for their own learning. This makes the classroom more engaging, meaningful, and enjoyable. 

Integration of constructive Tools in the classroom.

I will set up goggle classroom for my students because it help teachers and student stay connected and organized.it allows teachers to share ideas, lessons ,assignments and learning martials easily. Student can access everything in one place ,do their work and submit it one online.it saves time ,and makes learning possible from anywhere.it also helps teacher to get  quick feedback and keep track of student progress.

How to set up google classroom?

• 
  Go to  classroom. Goggle .com.
• sign with your Google account.
• click the (+) button and choose "Create"
• Type your class name ,subject, and section.
• Click create to make your classroom.
• Share the class code or invite students by email.
• Add materials ,assignments and announcements .
• organize your lessons under topics.
• Check the grade students submissions.
• Use the stream to communicate with students.

Secondly I will create Camtasia video because it allows teachers and students  to actively create learning materials by combining text,images,sound and background sound. It supports construction of knowledge through process of designing and producing educational rather receiving information using Camtasia ,teacher can explain lessons clearly ,demonstrate  processes step by step, and make learning  more interactive  and engaging. It also  encourages students to think critically and creativity as  they build their  understanding  through multimedia content, making it an effective tools  for teaching and learning.

For an example I used Camtasia video to create a short video lesson  on " Modes Of Transportations". I added pictures of  three different modes Transportation, (land, Air and Water) with texts and  sounds. Student can watch video  and hen made their own  mini videos showing what they learned .This activity helped  them understand better and developed creativity.
